Kites and Kids

I started this post a few days ago, and wasn't able to finish it and get it posted. Interruptions are the rhythm of my days. :) We're taking the day off to relax and enjoy a trip to the Cider Mill, so I'm not going to add much more to it. Have a wonderful fall day!

So this one's not of kite-flying, but I just love this girl's wild hair!

When my Mom was here a couple of weekends ago, we enjoyed a relaxing time hanging out and playing and catching up. We miss seeing her so much! We were spoiled when she was able to come over twice a week, and now, the pattern is seeing her about once every three months.... :( The Saturday she was here I'd found a bunch of clearance kites and Wal-Mart for 50 cents, and so we headed to the park to try them out. It was a beautiful, breezy, perfect day for kite-flying, though we had to cut it short because Grandma was nervous about the approaching storm.

Wonderful pictures! :) I love the one of Annesley with her hand on her hip, flying her kite like it's no big deal. :)

So cute! Looks like you had the perfect place for it too. BTW, I thought your folks had moved here. Did they move away again, or is it none of my business? I'm sorry you don't get to see her as often.
