Settled, Mostly

It's been two weeks today since we moved into our new place, and we are feeling pretty settled. There are still a few boxes hanging around, a lot of construction junk in the yard from the owner's last building project, and the basement is not fit for company to see, but we're getting there! We are LOVING being so close to our church. The kids and I have walked a few times, actually. There are mature trees in the backyard and lots of bird sounds, and the size and layout of the house is really great for our family. I am so amazed and thankful to the Lord because He worked out such a great situation for us; eight or nine weeks ago we had no idea where we would be moving, yet He has provided such a nice home, a reasonable rent, and the owner is a Christian brother who is also benefiting! Why am I surprised? :) God is a loving Father who delights to give good gifts to us and provide for us.

I hope to post some pictures of our new place soon. Life has been too busy lately to do much blogging, but I miss it! Better go get breakfast for my hungry kids. Have a great weekend!

So glad you are settled in a wonderful place -- the yard sounds great! Enjoyed reading your article in the Witness.

We're glad you're getting settled and are closer to church (and us!) too. :) Let me know when you're up for a playdate at the park down the street. ;)

Oh my goodness! I see that Keely is the one in the middle. It took me forever to figure that out. I thought it was an adult woman. I thought, "maybe she's Candice's sister or something??" Keely has grown up sooo much since I saw her last! That was just so shocking--I had to share! She is, of course, beautiful. Hope you had a great week of SAT's. Ours went well and we're looking forward to some time off this week with Daddy. Can't wait to see the house pics--those are always so fun! Love ya, Summer

I know Summer; she's really growing up! It's a bit strange, to say the least, but so fun to see her growing into a young woman. Great to see you at SATs. Maybe we'll get to chat again at the MPE Conference this weekend!
