There are a few sad parts where animals get eaten by other animals, and so far we've seen frogs and squirrels mating (much less uncomfortable than the camels we saw at the zoo yesterday that were, um, in the mood for love) but it isn't, in my opinion, focused on too much or too explicit for little ones. There are some references to evolution and the million-year old earth idea, but we've just used the opportunities for discussion with the kids.
Watching this series and seeing God's incredible creation has caused us to lift prayers of thanksgiving to our amazing God of unlimited power, creativity and goodness.
The heavens declare the glory of God;
And the firmament shows His handiwork.
Day unto day utters speech,
And night unto night reveals knowledge.
There is not speech nor language
Where their voice is not heard.
Their line has gone out through all the earth,
And their words to the end of the world.
Psalm 19:1-4

Just catching up after being gone. Your kids are so beautiful and the blackmail pic is great!
I think I saw a bit on Planet Earth on Oprah. It was amazing. Rana would probably love it. She is really into Bindi's little animal show.
One more thing ... You're a great wife for getting Kevin a gift. We are so bad at that.
We have watched parts of Planet Earth, too. God is amazing!!

We've been in the queue at the library for this for a LONG time. Just last week we got our first video (only 3 segments), but I was IN. AWE.
Mark and I watched it at night (me, continually saying, "God is SO creative! Can you even believe that?" over and over again) and then in the morning I'd show it to the kids (and end up watching it all over again myself, because I was so enthralled.) :)
