Hair!

I've never been very good at fixing little girls' hair, which is unfortunate since I have four. :) I stumbled upon this blog and have enjoyed trying some new things on Lil and Row. Since today, we have somewhere to go (our first day of co-op), I spent some time on the girls' hair this morning.

This is what I did to Lily's. I really like the look of it, but despite using gel, a water bottle,
and hairspray, it started falling a couple of hours after I fixed it. So, now she's wearing pig-tails. Still very cute. I need to practice making the 'dos tighter.

Rowan's hair is shorter now, and pretty thin, so it's hard to find something that works for her. Still, she was pleased with the little braids I did.

Not sure to do with this girl's hair.

And here's the picture of my new haircut. Keely obligingly took this a minute ago. I really like how easy it is to get it presentable. I was getting tired of seeing my hair in a ponytail.

Very cute hair, even the cute smiley one on the floor. ;) I remember my mom pulling my hair REALLY tight whenever she did French braids, but the hair stayed up. Perhaps that toughened up my scalp. :D Good job, mom!

I like the hair! I'm getting ready to chop mine off (tired of the ponytail, as well). Plus, Anthony prefers my hair short. Thought I was growing it out, but I'm not patient enough for the whole process!

What a bunch of pretty gals with nice hair! I have trouble keeping pigtails and ponytails in my girls' hair-I usually have to redo it during the day (or not, and just let it hang out!). When they play it falls out....
We miss you all at co-op. Elise and I were just talking about it today. We have some Tuesday activities that will start in Sept., which is a good thing to fill the void. I hope co-op goes great! Tell everyone hi.

Anne, I remember my Mom doing the same thing! It was worth it when she was finished, though, because it felt SO GOOD to get that hair off of my neck in the Texas heat! Gretchen, can't wait to see what you decide to do with your hair! I love your curls. And Dana, we miss you, too! Co-op has exploded this year and we have five (I think) new families. Feels very different but it will be fun to get to know the new Moms and their kids.
