Totally Awesome

Last Friday, we went to our friend Doug's 40th birthday party, and since his wife, Beth, is the Master Party Planner, of course it was a theme party!

It was a bit of a challenge finding something in our closets that would pass as '80's' garb, but we did the best we could with what we had. Funny; I never thought I would wish I had something neon hanging in my closet again. And, really, I had to rely on Kevin to give me pointers about 80's style, because early 90's was really my time...

'Cause he's so much older than me. Hee Hee.

We had a great time seeing our friends and their families and meeting some new people.

Thanks, Greg and Janis, for sitting for us! The kids had a fun time with you!

I think Hope W. has a hair crimper, you could have used that. ;) And I agree; I don't really REMEMBER the 80s since I was too little, I do remember the 90s though. :D Looks like you had fun and that's all that matters.

Andi looks over my shoulder at your picture and says "I'm surprised Candice didn't go for the big hair sprayed bangs and the leg warmers!" We can't be sure about the leg warmers. I think that hairspray was used to fix cars in those days, it was so strong. Sounds like you could have used some help from the old lady over here. Was Kevin wearing lots of Polo cologne? Guys would go to their lockers after each class and load up. You guys look great.

Kevin gave you good advice on the outfit. Totally! You probably don't even own any hairspray. Lacquer will do in a pinch (just kidding...although we put hairspray on as thick as lacquer...)
You two look great (or perhaps I should say, "totally tubular"....)

Franck, Kevin said the same thing: "I wish I had some Polo cologne." :)

Yes! Totally Crockett in Miami Vice. A pastel light blue or pink jacket would have been a nice touch.

This picture doesn't do me justice. You can't see my tight-rolled jeans! :)

so, Kev, I was going to ask if you french-rolled your jeans when I saw the pic. Did you do the 1-blue/1-brown deck shoe thing too? :-p
