It Was a Really Dumb Thing to Do

We have a glass cooktop on our stove. Glass. The stuff that breaks under impact. Like banging frozen biscuits to break them apart. Kevin says he'd prefer if I not touch any of the appliances for a while. I wonder if stuff keeps breaking (okay, okay.... I wonder if *I* keep breaking stuff) to remind me that it's only stuff. It doesn't ultimately last. Looking on the bright side, we're doing our part to stimulate the economy.

I am SO sorry, Candice. Our new stove is glass, also and my mother in law was insistent about me being careful with it. =)

Oh, no! That must have been a bit scary! Can you still use the other burners? Be sure to call me if you need to use our stove! :)

Oh no!!!
I was scanning through the channels a couple weeks ago & came upon that show on TLC called Jon & Kate plus 8. She has one of those same sort of stoves & had sat a lid from a hot pot on the stovetop. Apparently it created a suction from the steam on the inside of the lid & when she tried to pick it up, it shattered a big hole in the stovetop. yikes!

I'm so sorry Candice! Yikes! I just didn't think that they were that fragile.
Can you use the others for awhile?

Yes, I can use the two eyes on the right, and the stove is fine. We just have to find the time to go get the new one picked out. It's about as much to buy a whole new stove as it is to replace the glass top...
